About

The Bowling Green-Warren County NAACP was started on Feb 2, 1919, and has been a champion for justice and equality ever since. Our branch is active in the community through different areas. We regularly give scholarships to local high school students to further their education. We also give out awards to local leaders in our community who are helping in the fight. Our branch also co-hosts political candidates’ forums annually and encourages both voter registration and voter participation. In addition, we have been at the forefront of social justice issues and civil rights cases in our community and statewide.

Our branch meets in a hybrid style (in-person and via Zoom) every 2nd Tuesday of the month, 5:30 PM at the historic State Street Baptist Church (340 State St., Bowling Green KY). Contact us for more information about joining the NAACP.
