Event Overview
The NAACP Bowling Green/Warren County Branch Black History Month Quiz Bowl is a fun and educational event designed to celebrate Black history and foster community engagement. Participants of all ages are invited to showcase their knowledge while connecting with others in a fun and spirited competition.
Event Details
- Date: Saturday, February 15, 2025
- Time: 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM; Teams must check-in by 1:45 P.M.
- Location: African American Museum, 1783 Chestnut St., Bowling Green, KY 42101
Event Structure
- Team Composition: Maximum of 10 teams, each consisting of up to four members.
- Team Makeup: Teams are encouraged to form in advance and register by February 8th. Teams should be groups of up to four people, with at least one team member must be under 18).
- Registration Fee: $15 per team. Proceeds benefit the African American Museum.
- Prizes:
- First Place: $150
- Second Place: $100
- Third Place: $50
- Question Format: Multiple-choice and open-ended responses questions in multiple categories. At least one category will be based on local Black history found in the African American Museum. In addition to local history, questions will focus on Black history and culture.
Registration Process
- Deadline for Advance Signup: February 10, 2025, or until all 10 team spots are filled.
- Same-Day Registration: Available based on remaining capacity.
